PRINCE, PHYLLIS MARY LOUISE - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Thursday,
February 7, 2002, Phyllis Mary Louise (Waycott) Prince, wife of Edmond Prince of
Maces Bay, NB. Born in Maces Bay she was the daughter of the late Andrew and
Amelia (LeBlanc) Waycott. Phyllis worked for approximately 20 years in Maces Bay
at a restaurant known as Rte 790. She was also an active member of St. Brendans
Church, Dipper Harbour, Mission of St. Rose. Much loved and missed by all
Phyllis is survived by her husband Edmond, daughters; Cindy (Glenn) Mawhinney,
Brenda (Steve) Tulloch and Tina (Harold) Andersen, grandchildren; Christopher,
Ryan, Nicholas and Taylor Marie, two brothers and four sisters, many nieces and
nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by two children; Linda and Daniel, and two
brothers.

COULTON, WALTER CHAPPEL - Unexpectedly at
his residence on February 18, 2002, Mr. Walter Chappel Coulton of Lepreau, N.B.
Husband of Marie J. (Maillet) Coulton. Born in Tracy, N.B. on October 4, 1924,
he was a son of the late John and Annie (Gilcash) Coulton.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather,
he is survived by his wife; ten daughters, Shirley Lord (Barry) of Rollingdam;
Linda Nickerson (Bill) of Pennfield; Carolyn Barriault (Paul) of Musquash; Irene
Tinker (Louis) of Rollingdam; Sandra Coulton (Ron) of Saint John; Theresa Burke
(Johnny) of Pennfield; Donna Coulton (Conrad Godin) Saint John; Charlene LeBlanc
(Gary) of Saint John;, Sheila Greer (Steve) of Saint John and Laura Saunders
(Tony) of Saint John; five sons, John (Sheila) of Saint John; Walter Jr. of
Pocologan; Larry (Teresa) of Saint John; Tony (Margaret) of Wetmore Creek Road
and Terry (Denise) of Browns Flat; 35 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Dianne Marie; three
brothers, Stewart, Ray and Albert and two sisters, Mildred and Mae.
Walter was a carpenter by trade. He loved carpentry and
woodcrafts and was an avid outdoorsman. A devoted family man, he was well known
in the communities where he resided as a man always willing to help others in
need.

The service will be held from Bethany Baptist Church, Route 790, Little Lepreau

LOMAX, THEODORE ANTHONY "Ted"-
Went to be with his Lord while home with his wife of 51 years, Josie (Ingalls)
on Sunday, June 2nd, 2002. Born on February 25, 1928 the son of the late Hazen
and Bertha (Anthony) Lomax he spent his early years in Little Lepreau and
Wilson's Beach, Campobello, where he graduated from High School. He moved to
Saint John in 1946 and enjoyed a 32 year career with the Lancaster/Saint John
Fire Department. He was thankful for his retirement years spent with his family,
church family at Hillcrest Baptist Church (where he served for many years as
both Trustee and Deacon) as well as many other friends in both New Brunswick and
Florida. Besides his wife, Ted is survived by their children, Harvey (Jacquie)
of Saskatchewan, Hal (Myra) of Little Lepreau, Hilton (Lynn) of Saint John and
Heather (Steven) Bass of Grand Manan and grandchildren Leanne, Patricia,
Anthony, Kaley, Michelle, Amanda, Jill, Jayne, Abby, Rachel and Rebekah. Also
survived by brothers Basil, Hazen, Lorin and sisters Leota Brown and Joyce Estey
and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his son, Holly Ted, grandson
Eli Steven Bass and brothers Norman and Cecil.

ATCHESON, ROBERT W. "Bob" -
The death of Robert William "Bob" Atcheson, 41 years, of Lepreau,
occurred on Sunday, October 14, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Bob attended Fundy Regional High School in St. George and was
employed with the Saint John Regional Hospital. He lived in Alberta for the last
10 years where he worked as a carpenter with various construction companies. He
enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time on his snowmobile and
ATV with his nephews, Billy, Adam, Mark and Matthew.
He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Atcheson (Norman Sherriff) of Lepreau,
his father, Arthur Atcheson (Betty Jackson) of Saint John West, one brother,
Gary W. Atcheson (Jaqueline) of Saint John, on sister, Karen D. Foley of
Edmonton, AB, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two
brothers, Arthur B. Atcheson and Mark R. Stevens.
By request there will be no visiting. A memorial service will
be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row,
Saint John, on Thursday, October 17, 2002, at 3:15 PM. Interment in St.
Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada
or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

JENNINGS, LILLIAN A. - At her residence
on Sunday, December 1st, 2002; Lillian A. (Wenn) Jennings of Pine Grove Nursing
Home, Fredericton, NB, formerly of 330 Woodville Road, West Saint John, NB, wife
of the late Allan Jennings.
Born in Maces Bay, NB, she was the daughter of the late John
and Myrtle Wenn. Lillian worked in Saint John for 17 and a half years with the
Saint John Drydock, leaving in 1958. She then went to work in the payroll
department for NB Publishing Co. Lillian was a member of Maces Bay Baptist
Church and the Christian Womens Club in Saint John.
Lillian is survived by her daughter Faith Laurie (Robert)
grandchildren Dave, Anne, Steve, all of Fredericton, one sister Eleanor
Cresswell of Vancouver, BC, nieces and nephews.

NORDSTROM, MABEL MADELAINE - Of
Passamaquoddy Lodge, died peacefully on December 30, 2002 at the age of 97.
She was born in Lepreau, but spent most of her life in Saint
John. Predeceased by her husband Harvey Nordstrom and survived by several nieces
and nephews.
Resting at A. W. Cavanagh Funeral Home, 91 Leinster St. with
visiting on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at
Cavanagh's Chapel and burial at Oceanview Cemetery. Donations to the

LOMAX, MERRILL DONALD - Peacefully, at the
Saint John Regional Hospital, on April 25, 2003, Mr. Merrill Donald Lomax,
husband of Muriel (Thompson) Lomax of 6849 Route 1, Lepreau, NB.
Born in Little Lepreau, on April 6, 1925, he was a son of the
late William and Georgia (Wenn) Lomax. A loving husband, father and grandfather,
he is survived, besides his wife, by three daughters, Peggy (Lewis) Burke of
Lepreau, Susan Aubin and Lorraine (Lowell) Donner, both of New River; two sons,
Donald Lomax and Michael (Tracy) both of New River, NB; 9 grandchildren, one
great-granddaughter, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by
two brothers, Clarence and Morton; one sister, Melba Hope.
Merrill enjoyed wood crafts. He was a fisherman for 45 years, and loved the
water. In the past few years, he enjoyed making headings for traps.

St. George, NB with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9. The service will be
held on Sunday at 2 pm from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the funeral

and Marguerite (Addison) Prince. Edmond served with the EMO Wardens of Lepreau
for many years. Much loved and missed by all; Edmond is survived by his
daughters, Brenda Prince, Tina (Harold) Andersen, Cindy (Glenn) Mawhinney,
grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan, Nicholas and Taylor Marie, two brothers,
Jean-Paul, and Maurice, many nieces and nephews. Edmond was predeceased by two
children Linda and Daniel, one brother Willie and one sister Monique.

unexpected death of Wesley (Wes) H. Boulter of Lepreau, NB, occurred February
11, 2004.
Wesley was born in O'Leary, PEI, he was the son of the late
Harry and Esta (Bernard) Boulter. Wesley loved the outdoors, fishing, camping
and photography. He was always first to lend a helping hand to others, he will
be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, four
sons, Rick (Debbie), Saint John, NB, Wayne, BC, John, Sussex, NB, Brian, (Cyndi),
Saint John, NB, two daughters, Sandra Day, Saint John, NB, and Rose McLeaughlin,
(Stuart), BC, two brothers Harry, Ont. and Percy, (Heather), Poodiac, NB, three
sisters Merium, Saint John, NB, Gladys Bernard, Summerside, PEI, and Florence
Waugh, Ont., several grandchildren, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is
predeceased by his parents and one sister Eva Wilson.

Marion Doreen Stafford, wife of David P. Stafford of New River Beach, NB,

Born in Saint John, NB she was a daughter of Eileen (Laird) Sullivan and the
late Gordon Sinnott. Marion enjoyed bowling, camping and golfing. Survived by
husband, David; mother, Eileen; two step-sons, Christopher (Cathy) Stafford of
Bloomfield, NB and Robert Stafford of Saint John; two daughters, Diane (Stan)
Perreault and Pam (Brian) Saybel, both of Edmonton, AB; three brothers, Kenneth
(Leeanne) Sullivan of Calgary, AB, David and Ronald Sullivan, both of Edmonton;
one sister, Carol (Norman) LeBlanc of Wells, NB; three grandchildren, Jesse
Thomas, Taylor Thomas and Nicholas Saybel; several nieces and nephews; special
aunt, Ruth Thompson, as well as other aunts. Predeceased by her father, Gordon
Sinnott, step-father Kenneth Sullivan, and her daughter Wendy.

Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on January 12, 2005, Mr. Arthur Edward
Williams, in his 57th year, husband of Lois Arlene (Beney) Williams of
Pocologan, NB.
Artie was born in Saint John on February 12, 1948, and was a
son of the late Ulmont (Benny) Arthur Williams and Doris Melvina (Justason)
Williams.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Artie is
survived, besides his wife, by one daughter, Lori (Junior Burt) of Pocologan;
two sons, Michael (Daphne) Williams of St. George and Russell Williams of
Pocologan; three grandchildren, Kyle Gagnon, Julia Gagnon and Emma Williams; one
sister, Nancy (Mrs. Donald Waugh) of Saint John; two aunts, Louise (Art) Gillmor
of Bonny River and Clara McLean of New River; three uncles, Maurice Justason of
Oromocto, Ernest Justason of Red Head and Murray Justason of Sussex; several
cousins, two nieces and two nephews. He was pre-deceased by one daughter, Mary
Eileen.
Artie had been an employee at the Atlantic Sugar Refinery for
16 years. Artie was an avid hunter, flounder fisherman and enjoyed outdoor
activities, especially at his camp. At Artie’s request, there will be no
visiting at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be held at the funeral home in The
Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 15th at 2 pm, with Rev.
Bruce Alcorn officiating.

McCUTCHEON, LAWRENCE FRANCIS - of Maces Bay
passed away on Sunday March 20th, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after
a short illness.
He was born in Petitcodiac on January 13th, 1920 to the late
Arthur and Lelia Mae Allen McCutcheon Tucker. Larry was predeceased by his first
wife, Hazel Knowles Capson and by siblings, John, Eva, Art, Mary and Margaret
Tucker Porter. He is survived by his loving and beloved wife, Corine English
Ward, his sister, Edna Lavinia Dickson, his brothers, Ken, and Albert Tucker of
Moncton, his stepchildren, Allison Capson, Morley, Dana and Cora Ward, their
spouses and children, several in-laws, and numerous nieces, nephews and many,
many friends.

WILSON, KEITH MALCOLM - Husband of Carol
(Smith) Wilson passed away peacefully at his home in Saint John on Sunday, July
10th, 2005.
He was born in Maces Bay, son of the late Charles Newcomb and
Beatrice Wilson. During his business career he was President of the Saint John
TugBoat Company, Saint John Propane Gas, Nova Scotia Propane Gas, Fundy Supplies
Ltd., Snowflake Lime Ltd., Murray and Gregory Ltd., Saint John Terminals,
Standard Dredging, among many others. Mr. Wilson had a strong interest in his
community. He was involved for many years with the Family Plus, the Salvation
Army, Saint John Boys and Girls Club and was honoured by them for his years of
service. Also, Rotary International, which named him a Paul Harris Fellow. He
received the Community Star Award from the Department of Health and Community
Services. He was associated with the YM-YWCA, receiving the Red Triangle Award
in 2001. He served on the Vestry of St. John's (Stone) Church and through his
association with Hillcrest Baptist Church created a scholarship program for the
Atlantic Baptist College. He was a Charter Member of St. Joseph's Hospital
Foundation Board and the Secretary of the Charles Wilson Charitable Foundation
before turning it over to the Greater Saint John Community Foundation. He was an
ardent fisherman and a supporter of the Cherry Brook Zoo and Ducks Unlimited.
For many years he was a member of a Bible Study group.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; two daughters: Fawn, (Mrs.
Kenneth White) and Milo, (Mrs. Kevin Cruikshank), four grandchildren: Emily
White and Mark, Kathryn and David Cruishank; also one sister: Alfretta, (Mrs.
Glenn Scott) and a brother: Conrad (Lorna) Wilson. He is also survived by nieces
and nephews: Gail (Scott) Camelier, Graeme Scott, Rob Wilson and Jeff Wilson and
several cousins.

SPEAR, MARGARET ELIZABETH "Betty"
- Wife of Lyman Spear of Lepreau, NB., passed away peacefully at the Saint John
Regional Hospital with her family at her bedside on Wednesday, September 28,
2005 at the age of 72.
Betty leaves behind her son David Randall, two daughters
Susan Spear and Bonnie Wilkes, three granddaughters Jeanette, Jennifer and
Patricia Wilkes, and one grandson Douglas Wilkes. She also leaves a very special
caregiver Irene Savoie. Betty was predeceased by her mother Euetta Martin and
her stepfather the late Christopher McGuir.
A Memorial Service will be held at Castle Funeral Home
Fallsview Chapel, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John on Saturday, October 1st, 2005
from the funeral home chapel at 11 o'clock. Following the service, a reception

PEARSON, FREDA - Passed away at the St.
John and St. Stephen Nursing Home on Tuesday November 8th, 2005. Freda was born
on December 7th, 1909 in Lepreau NB. to the late Charles R. and Minnie
(McCallum) Archilles. Freda is survived by her brother John (Adella) Archilles
of Lepreau, a sister Mary Brawley of Saint John, a sister-in-law Ursala
Archilles of Toronto Ont. and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents,
Freda was predeceased by her husband William, a brother Charles and a sister
Thelma Goss. Freda worked for many years at D & C Toy in Toronto. Ont.
Funeral arrangements for Freda are under the professional
care of Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road Saint John, NB. By the family's
request, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service or

FISHER, ADA BACON - Passed away peacefully on
January 16, 2007 at Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB. Born on September 19,
1918 at Lepreaux NB, she was a daughter to the late George and Sarah B.
(Lawrence) Winn. She was the wife of the late Keith H. Fisher of Oven Head NB,
who predeceased her in November 1978. Ada was the last surviving member of her
immediate family.
Ada was a regular member of the Christ Church (Parish) Church
and of its quilter’s group in Fredericton NB, where she had resided for
approximately 42 years. She worked in the hotel and restaurant business, working
at, Garneys Tourist Cabins in Bethel NB, O’Connell Lodge in Lac de Loup PQ,
Beverbrook Hotel, The Sun Grill and Zellers all in Fredericton, NB. Also, she
frequently assisted with dinners at the residence of the Lieutenant Governor, in
which she took much pride and thoroughly enjoyed.
Ada leaves nephews; Lyman, Bremen (Peggy), and Leonard
(Marilyn) Spear and families, and John (Gwen) Moody and a niece; Norma (Barry)
Crawford, also a very special chosen daughter; Marguerite (David) Garnett of
Bayside NB, and a true and valued friend; Jackie Lovely of Beaverdam NB, seven
nieces and four nephews from the St. Andrews, St. Stephen and Fredericton areas.
Besides her parents and husband, Ada was predeceased by one sister; Wilhemina
Spear, two brothers; L. Osborne (Ozzie) Moody, and King Winn, sister in laws;
Anita (Robert) Stinson, Freta (Don) Malloy, Hilda Jean Fisher and Elma (Mike)
DeKouchay, brother in law; Kenneth Fisher, a nephew; Charles Moody at the age of
16 and a niece; Dorothy Alice Fisher at the age of 12.
By request, there will be no visitation held. A Graveside

SCOTT, ALFRETTA MARGARET "Allie" - The death of Alfretta
"Allie" Margaret Scott of Rothesay, wife of J.W. "Glenn"
Scott, occurred peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at her residence. Born
in Maces Bay, NB she was the daughter of the late Charles N. and Beatrice
(Small) Wilson.
After attending McGill University, Allie was a lifelong resident
of Saint John. She was active in community affairs and for many years was a
director of the Charles N. Wilson Charitable Foundation, director of the Saint
John Terminals Ltd. and the Saint John Tugboat Company Ltd. In her later years,
Allie enjoyed traveling and gardening. She will be sadly missed by her family
and friends.
Besides her loving husband of 58 years, she is survived by one son,
Graeme Scott (Barbara) of Saint John, one daughter, Gail Scott Camalier (Chris)
of Alexandria, VA, one brother, C. C. "Bud" Wilson (Lorna) of Saint
John, sister-in-law Carol Wilson of Saint John, two granddaughters, Victoria
"Tori" and Elizabeth "Libby" Scott, several nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Constance Wilson and one brother,
Keith Wilson.

Row, Saint John, with visiting on Friday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held from St. John the Baptist (Mission Church) &
St. Clements, 815 Millidge Avenue, Saint John on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at
11:00 a.m. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. In recognition of Allie's lifelong
love of animals, remembrances to the Animal Rescue League or the charity of the
donors' choice would be appreciated.

SHERRIFF, NORMAN F. -
The death of Norman F. Sherriff of Lepreau, Charlotte County, NB, occurred on Sunday, October 14, 2007
at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on March 1, 1946, he was
the son of the late Edward “Ted” and Evelyn (Speight) Sherriff.
Norman was a mechanic for many years and had been employed at Franks B/A on
Chesley and Bentley, Simms Corner Texaco, Ralph’s Action Esso on Manawagonish
Road, Ernie’s Esso on Manawagonish and retired from Ernie’s Tilton Corner
Irving.
He is survived by Marnie and family, four brothers, Arnold (Violet) of Grand
Bay-Westfield, George (Deanna) of Ontario, Bob of Upper Golden Grove and
Terrance of Saint John, one sister, Sharon Sherriff (Ralph) of Saint John,
several nieces and nephews.
By request of Norman there will be no visitation or funeral service. Following
cremation, interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances to
the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Canadian Cancer Society or
the charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated. Arrangements under the
direction of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint
John.

CLEVELAND, JOYCE ELIZABETH - Annapolis Royal. After a short and courageous
battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully and with dignity on August 2nd, 2008,
in the Annapolis Community Health Center, Annapolis Royal, N.S, at the age of 69. Born
in Saint John, N.B, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Winnifred (Teare)
formerly of Maces Bay, N.B. Joyce graduated from Eastern Charlotte
Regional School, St. George N.B, and teachers college in Fredericton N.B; she
taught in Blacks Harbour N.B, Rothesay N.B, Devon N.B, Central Kings, Cambridge,
Bridgewater and Annapolis Royal from where she retired after teaching 35 years.
Upon retirement she and Karl spent several winters in Florida where she enjoyed
meeting with her friends and doing water aerobics. She loved to cook, garden and
curl. She was a member of the St. Mary's Angelican Church, Belleisle as well the
treasurer of St. Mary's Cemetry Fund.
She Is survived by her husband Karl; step-mother, Joan Mawhinney, Saint John, N.B;
sister Pat (Rod) Shewchuk, Kenora, Ont; brothers Keith (Joanne), Chipman, N.B, and
Clyde "Bud" (Lydie) Fredericton, N.B, two aunts; and two uncles; several
nieces and nephews and cousins; as well as two god children. She was predeceased by
aunt, Doreen Snow.
Cremation had taken place under the care and direction of the Kaukbach Family Funeral
Home, Annapolis Royal where visitation will be held tuesday from 7-9pm. A memorial
service will be held 2:00pm on Wednesday August 6th, in St. Mary's Angelican Church,
Belleisle, Annapolis Co, N.B, with Rev. Liz Early officiating assisted by Rev. Canon
Ken Vaughan. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Mary's
Cemetery Fund or charity of choice.
