The church is located in Northern Carleton County just south of
the River de Chute or the boundry of Carleton and Victoria
Counties.
"In 1845 there is granted to the Right Reverend William
Dollard one acre of land, part of Patrick Murphy's grant in the
military settlement in the parish of Wicklow, for the purpose of
a church".
Patrick Murphy would be a GGGG Uncle to Norm
DeMerchant through
marriage.
