The Carleton County death registers are available from P.A.N.B. 1888-1919 microfilm reel # F13391 and 1888 microfilm reel # F13390.  It is important to note that every death that occurred in Carleton County was not officially recorded. Church records might provide missing data. There is also a Provincial Registers of Death:Index available on microfilms from the PANB also Provincial Returns of deaths are returns that cover the entire province and are arranged alphabetically by surname. Check the Carleton County genealogical guide for microfilm references.

Individual returns provide: 1) name of deceased; 2) residence; 3) date and place of death; 4) sex and age; 5) occupation; 6) place of birth; 7) religious denomination; 8) cause of death; 9) duration of illness; 10) names of attending physician and informant.
