On a recent last minute trip to NB I found the next 2 postcards
taken from Campobello while stopping to get gas. I thought they
would make a great addition to the site:) Submitted by Heather
Waddingham.
East Quoddy Lighthouse | East Quoddy Lighthouse or Head Harbour Lighthouse as it is also known is one of the oldest lighhouses in NB. Established in 1829, it is situated on a rocky outcropping at the northern tip of Campobello Island. The station now includes five structures: the light tower itself (1829), the adjoining dwelling (construction date unknown), a fog alarm building (1914-15), a work shed (1914-15) and a boathouse (1947). For more detailed information on the lighthouse have a look at the Official Site. Here is another Lighthouse Page that you may be interested in with even more links to Campobello Lighthouses. Mulholland Lighthouse | Muholland's Lighthouse is located near the Roosevelt International Bridge. As you cross over the bridge you can view the lighthouse on the left side of the bridge. Driving directions to the lighthouse are: After going through Canada Customs, take the first left turn (across from the Information Center), this will be called the Narrow's Road. The Lobster pound is at the bottom of this hill. Take the first left after passing the Lobster pound and this will take you into a picnic area at Muholland's Lighthouse. The picture of the buildings in the background are Lubec, Maine. Along the front of these buildings is called Water Street, which is the downtown area of Lubec.. (Thanks to Glenna Parker for this detailed explanation of how to find the lighhouse). Photo submitted by Heather Waddingham. Feb 2002 |

use on the site. Most of the cards do not have dates to go with
them. By looking at the photo's it is assumed that most of these
are from the early 1900's. Submitted by Heather Waddingham
