Michael Vincent (Dint) Mathews, 79, of Belmont Street, Moncton, NB, Died at Moncton Hospital on Friday May 4,1984, following a brief illness. He was born in Lubec Maine. May 25, 1904, the son of Deacon Christy Vincent Mathews and Margaret Mae (Miller) Mathews.
He was a retired manufacturers agent with 50 years of experience, and was a member of Maritime Commercial Travelers Association. He was a member of the St. Johns United Church.
Survivors include his wife Kathleen (Bedford) Mathews, One son Michael Vincent Mathews, Jr., and five grandchildren, all of Moncton; a sister, Mrs. Blan (Genevieve) Fletcher, Wilsons Beach, Campobello; nephews Walter C and Arnold V. Mathews and Wathen Fletcher, all of Campobello. He was predeceased by a brother Arnold Wilfred in 1948.
A memorial service was held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Moncton, with internment in Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton.

WILSONS BEACH, CAMPOBELLO, NEW BRUNSWICK - Walter C. Mathews, 66, died Jan. 3, 1993, at the Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen, N.B., after a long illness. He was born at Campobello on April 27, 1926, the son of Arnold and Ruby (Hilyard) Mathews. He was a fisherman at Campobello for many years before his retirement.
In addition to his mother of Campobello, mr. Mathews is survived by his wife, Glennis (Fitzsimmons) Mathews; two daughters, Jane of Orange City, Fla., and Jennifer of Campobello; one son, Walter "Bud" of Lubec; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Arnold. Friends may call at the North Road Baptist Church, Campobello, 2-5 and 7-9 (Canadian time) Thursday.
Interment will be in Wilsons Beach New Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make donations to the Cancer Society, care of S.O Mehan & Son Funeral Home, 23 Main St., St. Stephen, N.B.

GALBA B. 'GALBY' MATHEWS - LUBEC AND CAMPOBELLO, NEW BRUNSWICK-Galba B. Mathews, 76, died Aug. 31, 1987, at a Portland hospital after a brief illness. He was born at Campobello, New Brunswick, Aug. 11, 1911, the son of Harold and Margie (Brown) Mathews. He attended schools in Campobello, Lubec and Acadia College in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. "Galby" was captain of the Cameron Dee and fished all of his life in the area. He is survived by his wife, Juanita (Cumberland) Mathews of Lubec; two daughters, Cameron Mathews of Lubec and Brunswick; Mrs. Gregory (Debra) McConnell of Lubec; seven sisters, Maxine Daggett, Kathleen Jackson, Ruth Calder, Marion Cline, Shirley Brown, Virginia Newman and Bertha Sare, all of Campobello; five brothers, Harold Lee Mathews, Clayton Mathews, William Mathews, Harvey Mathews, all of Campobello, George Babcock of Watertown, Mass., two grandchildren, Sara and Gregory McConnell 2, both of Lubec, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Christian Temple Church, Lubec, 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Richard Freeman officiating. Interment will be in Green Acres Cemetery, Lubec.

Tristan Allan Mathews passed away July 21,
2008. He was born Sept. 16, 1984, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick.
Tristan was an amazing songwriter,
composer and singer. He loved his family and friends with all his
heart. He enjoyed playing basketball, hockey and video games.
Tristan had a
passion for fashion and life. Tristan leaves behind his devoted
mother, Betsy Massicotte; father, Shawn Mathews; adoring
brothers, Samuel,
Shayne and Kaleb; stepsister, Selena Fitzsimmons; his favorite
uncle, Scott Mathews; paternal grandmother, Jane Mathews;
numerous aunts,
uncles and cousins. He was known by many and will be missed by
all.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m.
Altantic Standard Time Aug. 2 on Mulholland Point, Campobello
Island, Canada. A memorial service will
also be held 1 p.m. Aug. 2 at West Quoddy Head State Park, Lubec.
