(Anthony) Martin wife of the late Harry S. Martin of Wilson's
Beach, Campobello NB went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ on December 25, 2003. Born in Wilson's Beach March 16,
1919, she was the daughter of the late James Edger and Elizabeth
Maude (Hilyard) Anthony. Predeceased by infant daughter Elizabeth
Mae; granddaughter Stephanie Shannon; brothers and sisters.
Survived by two daughters Vivian (Wayne) Mellish of Oak Bay NB;
Helen(Andrew) Hopper of Sussex NB; son Phillip (Susan) Martin of
Wilson's Beach NB; five grandchildren, Marc(Mae) Shannon; Stephen
(Krystal) Shannon; Stacey (Chad) Green; Jennifer (Tim)
Martin-Hawkes; Tim Martin (Janet MacDonald) seven
great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Bernice was an active member in the Wilson's Beach United Baptist
Church as a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, organist, Cradle
Roll Mothers and member of the Womans Missionary Society. She
also was a cook at the Edith Lank camp in Campobello for 26
years. She was also a member of the Auxiliary of the Gideons.
Visitation took place at the Wilson's Beach Baptist Church,
Wilson's Beach NB, on Sunday December 28, 2003. The funeral was
held on Monday from the church, with Rev. John Martin
officiating. Interment took place at the Wilson's Beach cemetery
. For those who wish, donations to Edith Lank memorial camp,
Gideons Memorial Bible fund, or to a charity of the donors choice
would be appreciated.
