MATHESON, Myrtle Josephine--Unexpectedly at the Fundy Health Center, Blacks Harbour, N.B., on January 30, 2000 in her 101st year. Mrs. Myrtle Josephine (Kinney) Matheson of Bonny River, N.B., wife of the late George Barnhill Matheson. She was a daughter of the late James and Hortense (Munson) Kinney.
She is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Bernice Thompson of Black's Harbour, Mrs. Joan Taylor of Bonny River and Jean, Mrs. Archie Campbell of Pennfield; two sons, Melvin and his wife, Janet of Lake Utopia; William and his wife Dora of Wilson's Beach, Campobello; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren, special friend Theodore Bradford, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sons; Kenneth and and James and two grandchildren, Peter and Ronald; six brothers and six sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Myrtle loved the outdoors and enjoyed such activities as fishing and quilting.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Second Falls United Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and and from 7 to 9 p.m. Remembrances to the charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

MATHESON, WILLIAM EARL - passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital with his family by his side on Monday October 22, 2007. He was born in Bonny River and was the son of the late George Barnhill and Myrtle Josephine (Kinney) Matheson and beloved wife, Dora Louise (Matthews) Matheson.
Bill was a family man working hard his entire life until most recently at Roosevelt Campobello Park where he was a proud and friendly fixture for almost 25 years. He was a lifelong and loyal Blue-Jays fan who loved the outdoors, spending time with family and friends at the camp hunting, especially proud this past season for he and Dora to both get a moose. We'll miss his daily routine of errands that took him around the island and promise to mow the lawn, pick up the mail and take good care of each other and Sumo.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Donald Matheson (Laurel), Randy Matheson (Gerry) and Rikk Matheson (Sherry) all of Campobello; one brother, Melvin Matheson (Janet) of St. George; three 3 sisters, Bernice Thompson of Black's Harbour, Joan Taylor of St. George and Jean Campbell (Archie) of Pennfield; as well as two grandchildren, Christa Matheson and Jeffrey Matheson (Natasha); one great grand-daughter, Cali Marie Matheson; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by one son, Ronnie; two brothers, Kenneth and James.
Following cremation, a memorial service and interment will be held in Campobello at a later date.
