MCFADDEN, Clara B., 89 CHERRYFIELD - Clara B. McFadden, 89, wife of the late Vernon P. McFadden, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at a Milbridge health care facility. She was born in Lubec, Oct. 5, 1911, the daughter of Burton and Henrietta (Brown) Blanch. Clara was a member of Rumery Chapter No. 46, O.E.S., Oseola Grange in Harrington, and was a member of the First Congregational Church of Cherryfield. She was a graduate of Lubec High School.
Clara is survived by a daughter, Marie Tucker and her husband, Harris of Gouldsboro; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Crowley and his wife, Margarita of Gouldsboro, and Christopher Crowley and his wife, Kay of Fairfield; three great-grandchildren, Jeremy Crowley of Denver, Colo., Carey Crowley of Southwest Harbor, and Shannon Crowley of Augusta; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Julian Blanch of Lubec; a niece, Julie Tilton; and two nephews, Peter Blanch and his wife, Pamela, and Burton Blanch and his wife, Eleanor. She was predeceased by a brother, Lester Blanch in 1984, and a sister, Ruby Johnson on Feb. 13, 2001.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the First Congregational Church of Cherryfield, when funeral services will begin with the Rev. Margaret Proctor, pastor, and Rev. Norma Smith officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lubec.
