LOMAX, BASIL CLYDE - The death of Basil "B" Lomax, husband of Helen (DeGiobbi) Lomax of Little Lepreau, NB, occurred on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Campobello, NB a son of the late Hazen and Bertha (Anthony) Lomax, he worked as a fisherman and as a mechanic with the Provincial Government. Basil enjoyed hunting, clam-digging, wood-working and was a life-long member of Bethany Independent Baptist Church.

Survived by his wife, Helen; son, Wesley (Linda) of Little Lepreau; daughter, Jackie (Peter) Pembroke of New Waterford, NS; two brothers, Hazen (Annie) and Lorne (Cecilia), both of Little Lepreau; two sisters, Joyce (Carl) Humphrey of Saint John, NB and Leota (Guy) Brown of Campobello; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers, Norman, Cecil and Theodore.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4-8 pm at Bethany Independent Baptist Church, Little Lepreau, NB and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Bay View Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held from Bethany Church, Little Lepreau on Monday, December 12, 2005 at 2:30 pm. Interment will be in Little Lepreau Cemetery followed by a reception at the church.

LOMAX, HAZEN OSCAR (JUNIOR) - (April 21, 1924 - February 5, 2006) Junior died at home on Sunday, February 5, 2006. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, but we glory in knowing he is now with his Lord and Savior in Heaven. Junior was born in Little Lepreau, the son of the late Hazen and Bertha (Anthony) Lomax. He worked as a fisherman, worked on a tug boat, was a Restaurateur and owned and operated the Clam Factory in Little Lepreau. He enjoyed working with his hands doing plumbing, mechanics and carpentry. He was a faithful member of Bethany Independent Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife Anne of 60 years; four sons, Roger (Dora), Steven (Lois), Calvin (Sherry), Kevin (Joy); three daughters, Linda Wilson, Susan Henry (Raymond), Dora-June Belliveau (Johnny); one brother Lorne (Cecilia); two sisters, Joyce Humphry (Carl), Leota Brown (Guy); 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Junior was predeceased by four brothers, Norman, Cecil, Theodore and Basil.

Visitation will be held at Castle Funeral Home Fallsview Chapel 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John (506) 634-1701 on Monday, February 6, 2006 from 7-9 pm and visitation on February, 7 2006 at the Bethany Independent Baptist Church in Little Lepreau from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Bethany Independent Baptist Church at 1 o'clock followed by a reception.

Interment will take place in Little Lepreau Cemetery. Memorial donation may be made to the Little Lepreau Cemetery fund or a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. [Telegraph-Journal]
