JOHNSON, Ruby E., 87 LUBEC and PERRY - Ruby E. Johnson, 87, died Feb. 13, 2001, at a Lubec health-care facility. She was born in Lubec, Nov. 23, 1913, the daughter of Bert and Henrietta (Brown) Blanch.

She was a member and attended the congregational churches of Lubec and Perry. She was a 50 year member of the Quoddy Light Chapter No. 94 OES of Lubec; 70 year member of the Lubec Grange No. 434. Ruby was an educator for 42 years teaching school in many communities from Lubec to Alaska. She was a member of the Maine State Retired Teachers Association.

She was predeceased by a brother, Lester Blanch, and her husband, Col. Ronald Johnson in 1998. Surviving are one brother, Julian Blanch of Lubec; one sister, Clara McFadden of Milbridge; two nieces, Julie Tilton of Lubec, Marie and her husband, Harris Tucker of Gouldsboro; two nephews, Peter Blanch and his wife, Pamela of Lubec, Burton Blanch and his wife, Eleanor of Eastport; several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Perry Congregational Church with the Rev. Colin Windhorst officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Rest Lawn Cemetery, Perry. Friends who wish may make donations in her memory to the Perry Congregational Church or charity of their choice. Arrangements are by the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home of Calais and Lubec.

W. Harvey Johnson Campobello - The death of one of Campobello's best known residents, W. Harvey Johnson 74, Welchpool occurred in St Joseph's Hospital, Saint John where he was preparing to undergo surgery. He was the son of James and Susan Johnson and had lived in Welchpool all his life, where he was engaged in fishing, farming and contracting. He was a member of St. Anne's Anglican Church, Welchpool and a charter member of the Campobello Island Board of Trade, of which he was the first secretary and served for a number of years in that capacity.

He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Estella DeShon; one son Murray; one daughter Mrs. Winston Mitchell; two brothers, Albert, Campobello and Kenneth in Alberta and four grandchildren.

The funeral was held from St Anne's Church. The service was conducted by the rector, Rev. N. P. Fairweather. One hymn was sung. The pallbearers were Joseph Gough, Robert Allingham, William Trecartin, Edwin Chute, Stanley Lank, Melbourne Batson, Cleveland Mitchell and John Newman.

JOHNSON, FLOYD H. - At the Charlotte County Hospital on Sunday, October 26th, 2008 Floyd Harvey Johnson of St. Stephen, NB. Born in Campobello, NB he is the son of the late Edison & Hulda (Searles) Johnson.

Floyd is survived by one son Gary (Sheila) of Barrie , Ont, two daughters Linda Palumbo (Sam) of Collingwood, Ont, Donna Weston (Joe) of Lakeville, NB 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, two brothers Carson (Diane) of Deer Island, Gerry ( Brenda) of St. George., brother in law Jim Buckner of Ear Falls. Ont. Floyd is predeceased by his sister Myrtle Buckner.

By Floyds request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.

Friends and relatives are welcome to attend a memorial service to be held on Thursday, October 30th, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Lamberts Cove Baptist Church, Deer Island, NB . The interment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery Deer Island. Donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association would be appreciated by the family.
