Marie Howland passed away May 5, 2000, after a long battle with cancer, at Ocean View Nursing Home. She was born on April 23, 1956. Marie is survived by her mother, Dawn Newman; husband, Richard Howland; son, Benjamin Lyons; sister, Margaret Cote; aunt, Irene Brown; uncle, Cleveland Newman and his wife, Nathalie; nieces, Holly Chute and Bonnie and her husband, Gary Guptill and their families; a nephew, Stephen Newman and wife, Dot; several cousins; special friends, Phil and Gwen Somers and Janice Bronson, as well as many other friends in the Lubec, Calais and Bangor areas. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dawn Marie Lyons; and grandmother, Millie Allingham. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Remembrances may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Direct Cremation of Maine, Belfast.
