WILSONS BEACH, New Brunswick - Wade E. B. Gallagher, 33, was lost at sea, Aug. 18, 2006. He was born Nov. 30, 1972, at Charlotte County Hospital. He attended Campobello Island Consolidated School. He was a lifelong fisherman and loved being out on the water. He had many, many friends and will be sadly missed by the community of Campobello.

He was a good husband, the "best dad" and someone you would be proud to call your son. He was predeceased by his two grandfathers, Elmer Duren of Pembroke and Bernard Gallagher of Wilsons Beach, New Brunswick; and one niece, Abby. He is survived by his parents, Dawn (Duren) Gallagher and Gregory Gallagher; stepfather, Burton Flynn; wife, Constance; and son, Braiden Wade; one sister, Peggy Flynn, all of Wilsons Beach, New Brunswick; two grandmothers, Eleta Duren of Lubec and Rose Gallagher of Moncton, New Brunswick; two aunts, Karen Cooke of Baileyville and Roseleta Smith of Robbinston; two uncles, Edward Duren of Calais and Elliot Gallagher of Moncton, New Brunswick; several nieces, nephews, cousins and siblings from the blended family.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Pentecostal Church, Wilsons Beach, New Brunswick.

Lubec - Horace I. Gallagher, 76, died February 19, 1975 at the Calais Regional Hospital following a long illness. He was born at Campobello, NB, Aug 1 1898 the son of Bernard and Mary (McGivney) Gallagher.

He was a member of the Sarced Heart Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors include his wife, Annie (O'Callaghan) Gallagher of Lubec, and a nephew Bernard of Campobello.

A Mass of Christian Burial was at the Sarced Heart Church.

1949-2008

Campobello Island and Moncton N.B. - Robert Eliot Gallagher, 59, passed away October 7th, 2008 at the George Dumont Hospital in Moncton, NB after a brief struggle with cancer, with his loved ones by his side. Eliot was born September 20, 1949 in Eastport, Maine, the son of Rose (Doucette) Gallagher and the late Bernard Gallagher.

Eliot was raised on Campobello Island and attended school there. He left the island to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Afterwards he traveled and lived in many places throughout Canada and the United States. He worked on various projects throughout his life including the Alaskan Pipeline and oil refineries in Saskatchewan. His favorite work and pastime was building cabinets and restoring antique furniture. Prior to his illness he was employed by a local furniture company. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.

Besides his mother of Moncton, NB, he is survived by his daughter Rebecca Gallagher of Glenburn Maine. and his sister Roseleta Smith and her partner Robert McArthur of Robbinston, Maine. He will also be lovingly remembered by his partner Alice Smith of Moncton .He was an uncle to Bonnie Devine and her son Tyler of Newport, Maine, and Travis Smith of Florida and his daughter Veronica Smith of Newport. He also had numerous aunts, uncles and cousins throughout U.S. and Canada.

Eliot was predeceased by his father in 1985, his brother Greg in Aug. 2008, half sister Eva Chute in June 2008 and nephew Wade in Aug. 2006.
A memorial service will be held at the Wilson’s Beach Pentecostal Church on Campobello Island, Saturday, October 18th, with time to be announced. The interment will be at Head Harbour Cemetery following the service.
