BAILEYVILLE - Gladys R. Corbett, 90, died Jan. 30, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born at Wilson's Beach, Campobello Island, N.B., Canada, Feb. 7, 1914, the daughter of Clarence and Josephine Newman. Gladys was predeceased by a son, Philip Calder and husband, Kenneth Corbett. Surviving are one daughter, Janet Coy of Upper Gagetown, N.B.; five grandchildren, Philip, Andrew, Robbie and Ryan Coy, Wendy Couturier; four great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jodi and Madison Coy, Tyler Couturier. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, Calais, with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating.
Burial will be in Canada. Friends who wish may make donations in her memory to the National Kidney Foundation of Maine, 630 Congress St., P.O. Box 1134, Portland, ME 04104-1134 or Shriners Hospitals, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
