The death of Randoph (Randy) Wallace Cooke occurred at the Campobello Lodge on Thursday June 19, 2003. Born in Blacks Harbour, NB he was the son of Keith and Paulette (Wilson) Cooke. He is survived by his wife, Sherry (Fitzgerald) Cooke; daughter, Zona and husband Dexter; son, Nathan and his wife Sharlene; Parents, Keith and Paulette Cooke; great grandfather Leonard Wilson; brothers, Rocky and his wife Glenda, Rob and his wife Pam; grandchildren, Kyle, Krysten and Logan; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at the Wilson's Beach Pentecostal Church, Campobello, with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held 2 pm on Monday from the church with Rev. Todd Maguire and Rev. David Warren officiating. Interment will take place in the Head Harbour Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated. Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB, on July 13th, 2007, Mrs. Laura Eileen (Holmes) Cooke wife of the late Reuben Blair Cooke of Back Bay NB. Born in LEtete NB on December 14th, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Capt. Lewis W. and Floretta (Towers) Holmes. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by one daughter, Pamela (Bernard) French of Back Bay, three grandchildren, Tanya (Gary) Chambers and Richelle (Jeff) Whittier both of Utopia NB and Tracy (Trina) French of Bonny River NB, five great grandchildren, Derek, Krystle, Brent, Tristen and Regan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband and parents, Laura was predeceased by one brother, Willard Holmes and three sisters, Mabel Justason, Cora Dick and Blanche Grant.
Laura was an avid reader and in her early years loved camping
at their site on the Glebe Road in St. Andrews NB. She was an
entrepreneur and started her own Hair Dressing Salon in St.
George NB. She was a member of the Back Bay Church of Christ and
the OES Granite Chapter # 15 in St. George.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage
Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held from
The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Sunday at 2 pm with Rev.
Conrad Cline officiating. Interment to follow at the St. George
Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4
and 7-9 pm. An OES service will be held at the funeral home on
Saturday at 7:00 pm. In Lauras memory, donations to the NB
Heart and Stroke Foundation, Back Bay Church of Christ or the
Canadian Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
