BABIN, Opal Laverne Tinker- Opal Laverne Tinker (LaPointe) Babin died unexpectedly, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, December 13, 2002 at the home of her daughter, Phyllis, at Vineland, Ont. Opal was born on March 5, 1930 at Wilson's Beach, Campobello Island, N.B. She was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Williams) Tinker. She is survived by three daughters, Leanna, Jamie, and Phyllis, and one son, William, all of Ontario; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, George, and sister Violet Elizabeth. The funeral service was held on Monday, Dec. 16, 2002 at Scot's Funeral Home Chapel, Woodbridge, Ont. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.d or to a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated.
