Lubec- Edith V. Ackley, 72, wife of Richard Ackley, died October 25, 1978, at a Bangor Hospital following a short illness. She was born in Campobello Island, N.B., June 24, 1906, the daughter of Casco and Theresa Brown.
She was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship, Christian Temple Church of Lubec. Besides her husband of Lubec, she is survived by one daughter, Theresa Lord of Orrington; three sisters, Belle Jasper and Mariam Lewerenz, both of Lubec, Evelyn Ward of Dennysville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Christian Temple Church, Lubec, with the Rev. Donald Stockford officiating. Burial will follow in the Hallett Cemetery, Lubec.
