He was a retired farmer. He was born in Odessa, Russia, June 24, 1881, a son of Mr. And Mrs. John Quenzer. He married Caroline Schoepp in Russia March 3, 1902, and they came to Herried, SD, from Russia in 1903. They moved to Plevna in 1916. Mrs. Quenzer died there April 27,1920, and on Jan. 29, 1923 he married Louise Schnell. They moved to Billings in 1942. he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Billings. He is survived by two sons, Fred Quenzer of Rodeo, Calif., and Albert C. Quenzer of Baker; four daughters, Mrs. Lorena Brees of Missoula, Mrs. Madge Rediger of Cashion, Ariz.; Mrs. Caroline Sieler and Mrs. Elizabeth Sieler, both of Billings; 37 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral service- will be at Calvary Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Richard Grenz officiating. The body will be taken to Plevna for burial Sunday. Smith's Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Quenzer Gideon Ap 1925 Quenzer Leona Marie Mrs. 07 Ap 1963 Quenzer Mrs. Emanuel AGE: 51 DEATH: 1963 FILE #: 8 PAGE #: 1 Surnames: Mitsch, Rabe, Foy FORSYTH-Mrs. Leona Marie Quenzer, 51, of Forsyth died Sunday morning in Rosebud Community Hospital where she bad been a patient for a month with cancer. She was born March 22, 1912, in Almont, ND. She moved to Malta in 1925 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mitsch. They moved to Billings in 1932. She was married to Emmanuel Quenzer April 19, 1937, in Billings. They moved to Forsyth in 1942. Mr. Quenzer died Aug. 27, 1959, in Forsyth. Surviving are three sons, Gordon Quenzer, David Quenzer and Duane Quinzer, all of Forsyth; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Rabe, of Billings and Shirley Quenzer and Linda Quenzer of Forsyth; her sister, Mrs. AdeIine Foy of Portland, Ore., and three brothers, John, Albert and Adolph Mitsch, all of Columbia Falls. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Concordia Lutheran Church. The Rev. Leo Tormoehlen, pastor, will officiate. Beals Mortuary will conduct burial in the Forsyth Cemetery. Quilliam Fred G. 03 Ja 1949 Age 74 Quincer Edward 08 Ja 1977 Age 71 Quincer Edward AGE: 71 DEATH: 01-08-1977 FILE #: 268 PAGE #: 49 Surnames: Schweigert, Leno, Shackelford, Christman, Bretzel, Herbst Edward Quincer, 71 years old of Plevna, passed away Saturday, January 8, at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City. He was born July 18, 1905,near Odessa, Russia, the son of Conrad and Catherine Quincer. He moved to this country in 1908 with Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Schweigert, Sr., Mr. Schweigert being his stepfather. They settled in Emery, S.D., and one year later moved to Ryegate, Montana. In 1910 they moved to Plevna on a farm. At the age of 20 he started farming on his own. On June 22, 1933, he was united in marriage to Tillie Leno at Tuttle, N.D. They farmed and ranched near Plevna for nearly 40 years. They retired and moved to Plevna in 1970. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church of Plevna. Survivors include the widow, a son Leonard Edward of Forsyth; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Lorraine) Shackelford of Plentywood; three brothers, John Quincer of Portland Oregon; Phillip Schweigert of Plevna; Fred Schweigert of Kalispell; five sisters, Mrs. Katherine Leno of Tuttle, N.D.; Mrs. Betty Christman, Mrs. Lydia Christman and Mrs. Dorothy Bretzel, all of Plevna; Mrs. Mellie Herbst of Billings; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. today, Thursday, January 13, in the Plevna High School gymnasium. Family services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Plevna. Rev. Don Gordineer and Intern Kenneth Hagen will officiate. Mrs. Bea Jundt will accompany Ruth Wang who will sing "The Old Rugged Cross" and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again". Serving, as active pallbearers will be Jake, Albert, Edwin, Willie, Harold and Adam Leno. Honorary pallbearers will be Art and Leo Leno. The pallbearers are brothers of Mrs. Quincer. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Plevna. The Stevenson Funeral Home of Baker will be in charge of arrangements. Quinzer, Mrs. Fred Date: 06-1920 Page: 1920-2 Mrs. Fred Quinzer, an elderly lady residing near Plevna, died Tuesday afternoon: She leaves a husband and several children and the death is a great shock to the family. Dr. Blakemore of this city was called when the lady was taken suddenly ill but before he could reach the place she had died. He was born July 2, 1900 near Camp Crook to William (Shorty) and Emma Quinlan and spent his youth there and in Baker. Mr. Quinlan is survived by his wife Helen, two sons, two daughters and a sister, Mrs. Henry Beckman of Baker. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 10 in Tacoma.
