          Welcome to the AHGP Webster County Mississippi website.  This site is focused on genealogy of the Webster County, Mississippi area.  Webster County was formed in 1874 from Choctaw County, MS and part of Montgomery County, MS.  Webster County originally had the name Sumner County, MS.  In 1889, the name of the county was changed to its current name, Webster County.  The county seat is Walthall, MS
