      Uriah & Dicy “Boothe” Stallings

 

 Uriah Stallings was born abt. 1790 in Nansemond Co., Virginia, and died aft. 1860 in Choctaw Co., Miss.! He married Delcie “Dicy” Boothe abt. 1815 in North Carolina. Dicy was born abt. 1795, and died aft. 1860 in Choctaw Co., Miss. Uriah & Dicy had nine children, according to birth; Eli Stallings was born Oct. 15, 1817, and died Apr. 18, 1886 in Lamar Co., Texas. He married Sarah D. Brantley Sept. 12, 1844. Lemuel D. Stallings was born Oct. 23, 1819, and died Sept. 23, 1903. He married Catherine Elinor Armstrong Sept. 28, 1843 in Noxubee Co., Miss.! William Joseph Stallings was born Oct. 29, 1820, and died abt. 1895 in Palo Pinto, Texas. He married Mary Ann Winey Ward Dec. 28, 1840 in Tallapoosa Co., Alabama. Willis Stallings was born abt. 1826, and died Nov. 7, 1863, he married Hannah C. Willis. Andrew Jackson Stallings was born abt. 1827, and died Mar. 3, 1907 in Webster Co., Miss. He married Elizabeth Carroll Williams abt. 1856. They were buried at Marvin’s Hill Cemetery, Cumberland, Webster Co., Miss.! Benjamin Franklin Stallings born 1834, died 1910 at Cumberland, Miss.! He married Melissa Jane Carlisle, and they were also buried at Marvin’s Hill Cemetery. James Pierce Stallings was born abt. 1836, and was killed abt. 1904, he married Martha A. Eliza Brown. They were buried at South Union Cemetery, in Webster Co., Miss.! Penina Stallings was born abt. 1837, and died in 1920, she married Absalom Holland Ferguson, the son of Abraham & Louise “Holland” Ferguson! Mary Elizabeth Stallings was born abt. 1840, and died aft. 1900 in Webster Co., Miss. She married Ira Malcolm {Mack} Williams. They were my Great, Great Grandparent’s! Mack was born Mar. 22, 1830 in Alabama, and died Jan. 12, 1906. He was buried at Sapa Baptist Church Cemetery, in Webster Co., Miss.! We haven't located the place of burial for his wife; Mary Elizabeth, she may have been buried next to Mack in a unmarked grave! I would like very much to share & contact anyone descended from this Stallings family!
