{ Mary Pollie McKee 1780 � 1870 }

Mary Polly McKee was born abt. 1780 in South Carolina, and died aft. 1870 near Pine Bluff, Clay Co., Miss. She had three son�s; Joseph Spicer McKee, Wiley T. McKee, Dr. William Allen McKee, and possiably another son named John Samuel McKee, who died in Tuscaloosa or Bibb Co., Alabama abt. 1868. Mary was living with her oldest son Joseph Spicer McKee, on the 1870 Census of Clay Co., Pine Bluff, Miss.! This was the last census that Pollie McKee was list�ed on, she may have died after 1870 near Pine Bluff, Miss. Joseph Spicer married Elizabeth, (maiden name unknown), and had three daughter�s; Rachel, Sarah, & Lucinda McKee. Rachel married Josiah Forrester, and five children. Sarah married Robert Duncan Freeman, and had seven children. Lucinda no other info. about her! John Samuel McKee married Margaret Williams abt. 1849 in Ala., and had 11 children! Several of them lived in Webster Co., Miss., their oldest son was Wiley C. McKee, who married Amanda Berry, and Mary Crow! Wiley T. McKee was born abt. 1808, he married twice, first to Sarah ?, and next to Margaret Forrester! Wiley & Margaret had six daughter�s, and Wiley had one son by his first wife! One of their daughter�s was Minty, who married James Burgess, and had nine children. Doc. William Allen McKee was born Sept. 27, 1809 in Georgia, and died Mar., 1873. He married Mary Henderson June 2, 1825 in Bibb Co., Alabama. They had three son�s; Wiley Thomas, James R., and John William McKee! Wiley Thomas was born Mar. 1826, and died Sept. 12, 1909 in Henrietta, Clay Co., Texas. He married Frances Lavina Slaughter Nov. 1851 in Chickasaw Co., Miss. And they had a large family of 11 children. James R. McKee was born Jan. 24, 1828, and died Aug. 30, 1859, he was buried at Clarkson Baptist Church Cemetery, along with several nephew�s! He may have married, need more info.! John William McKee was born Oct. 1829, he married Emily, and had five children, one daughter, and four son�s! William Monroe Thomas McKee was the oldest, he was born Oct. 10, 1856, married Rebecca Hastings, and had 11 children. James Allen McKee was born Nov. 1860, he married Rhoda Cothran, and had three children. David W. McKee was born abt. Mar. 1864, married Martha Bennett, and had three children. Rachel McKee born Apr. 6, 1869, married James M. Sanders! Wiley H. McKee born abt. 1876, need more info. about him. Several of the McKee�s were buried at Wake Forest Church Cemetery, near Dancy, Webster Co., Miss.
