Pike County, Mississippi Revolutionary War Soldiers

Pike County, Mississippi

Revolutionary War Soldiers

To date, five men have been identified as Revolutionary War soldiers who were later residents of Pike County. Three of these men applied for pensions for their service and a link is provided below to transcripts of the depositions they gave concerning their service which are included in their pension application files.

Nancy Jackson, Chairman of the MSSDAR VIS Committee, has graciously allowed me to provide a link from this page to the Judith Robinson DAR Chapter page listing grave sites of Mississippi Revolutionary War soldiers. The grave sites of three men from Pike County are included in this alphabetical listing. (Scroll down the page to the name for which you are searching.)

Information on Richard Dillon's grave site is from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, Microfilm Roll #191, Revolutionary War Grave Registrations. His grave is now located in Walthall County.
