BERTHA YARBER

BOONEVILLE - Lydia Bertha Womack Yarber, 90, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 1995, at her home after a sudden illness. She was born May 16, 1905, to Mr. and Mrs. Lee M. Womack. She attended the State Teachers College and was a school teacher. She and her husband were the founders, owners and operators of the Town Motel in Booneville, the town's first motel. She operated both the motel and the restaurant. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of Sunday School and a Life Member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Booneville Pilot Club for 44 years, the Federated Woman's Club and the DAR.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral 'Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Hankins officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include a foster son, Bill Moore of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Louise Womack Peeler of Booneville; two foster grandchildren, Bertha Elizabeth Baker of Las Vegas, Nev., and Dorothy Carol Moore Crump of Orlando, Fla.; a niece, Dorothy Googe Robbins of Southaven; several nephews and other nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Carroll W. Yarber; a sister, Helen Womack Googe; and a brother, Earl Womack.

Pallbearers will be Billy Deaton, Billy Bennett, Merril Cartwright, Hubert McDaniel, Eddie Caveness Jr., Rick Wilburn and Robert Young.

BILLY RAY YARBER

Billy Ray Yarber, 55, of Memphis, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 2, 1995, at his home.

Services were Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mickey Trammel officiating. Burial was in Piney Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Yarber was retired from Lowenstems Department Store and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his caregivers, his uncle and aunt, Howard and Louise Yeutter of Memphis; four aunts, Ruth Davis and Gladys Hart, both of Booneville: Katie Credille of Muscle Shoals, Ala., and Vera Burcham of Baldwyn; and one uncle, Neal Brown of Booneville.

CECIL YARBER SR.

LINDEN, Tenn. - Cecil A. Yarber Sr., 85, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Perry County Hospital in Linden, Tenn. He was formerly of Iuka and Moscow, Tenn. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with the Rev. Bryan Powell officiating. Burial will be in Snowdown Cemetery in Iuka.

Survivors include two sons, Benjamin F. Yarber of Linden, Tenn., and Cecil Yarber Jr. of Somerville, Tenn.; a daughter, Elizabeth Elaine Yarber of Saulsbury, Tenn.; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas B. and Florence M. Yarber; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Yarber.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Saufley, Michael A. Davis, Benjamin Yarber, Robert Minor and J. T. Minor.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

BELMONT - Virginia Fancher Yarber, 77, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a native of Mississippi. She was a retired homemaker and the former owner of the Belmont Cafe. She was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Belmont United Methodist Church with Bro. Ronnie Goodwin and Bro. Ed Saunders officiating. Burial wil be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Wiginton of Huntsville, Ala.; a son, Joe Yarber and wife, Joan, of Tupelo; three sisters, Prebble Harlow, Arvis Clark and Evelyn Cashion, all of Belmont; four grandchildren, Christopher Wiginton and wife, Joy, of Birmingham, and Holley Yarber, Catherine Yarber and Anna Claire Yarber, all of Tupelo; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Lee Wiginton and Emily Wiginton, both of Birmingham; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Yarber, and her parents, Alec and Alma Fancher.

JUNIOR YARBER

MARIETTA - William Henry "Junior" Yarber Jr., 64, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a long illness. He was a member of Siloam Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today al East Marietta Baptist Church with the Rev. Elbert Ray Bennett officiating and the Rev. Johnny Sherrill assisting. Burial will be in Sumners Chapel Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is In charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Frances Akers Yarber; two daughters, Sandra Bearden and her husband, Phillip, and Mae Moore and her husband, Charles, all of Booneville; three sons, William Yarber of Booneville, James Yarber of Cairo, and Allen Hawkins and his wife, Nancy, of Marietta; one sister, Bertha Garrett of Benton, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Marlice Yarber, four sisters; and seven brothers.

The body will lie in state at the church one hour before services today.

RAYMOND YARBER

BELMONT - Raymond Yarber, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at Daniel Health Care in Fulton. He was a native of Mississippi. He was the retired owner of Yarber Dry Goods after 29 years. He was a member of the Belmont First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for 40 years and a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Belmont School Board. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Belmont First Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Maroon and Dr. Parish Hartley officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Madrue Hughes Yarber of Belmont; a daughter, Marilyn McAnally and her husband, Jerry, of Belmont; a sister, Mildred Manning of Louisville, Ky.; two nieces, Christine Schacherbauar of Dexter, Mo., and Tommie Mae Blackburn of Fairmont City, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laura Shook Yarber, and a sister, Vister DeTomasi.

BALDWYN - Billy Fred Yarbrough Sr., 65, died Friday, July 16, 2004, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a truck driver for Action Industries and a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Mildred Christine Alexander Yarbrough, 75, of Holly Springs, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at Marshall County Medical Center after an extended illness.

Services were Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 4 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jack Price officiating. Burial was in Jumpertown Cemetery.

Mrs. Yarbrough was a housewife and a Baptist. She was the widow of Virgil Yarbrough. She was preceded in death by one brother, W. A. Alexander.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Sais of Belen, N. M.; three sons, Boyd Young of Seattle, Wash., Boyce Young of Savannah, Ga., and Jay Wells of New Orleans, La.; four sisters, Juanita Stevens of Byhalia, Madge Crabb of Byhalia, Maxine Sproisch of Walls and Avis Hall of Olive Branch; I 1 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Delma Cagle Yarbrough, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, the Tishomingo Community Living Center. She was a member of the Tishomingo Baptist Church.

BALDWYN - Rex Yarbrough, 74, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a brief illness. He was a member of Pratts Christian Church. He was a retired dairy farmer and a retired employee of the maintenance department of Lee County's First District.

BOONEVILLE - Harold M. Yates, 74, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at his home after a brief illness. He was a retired truck driver for the Mississippi Department of Transportation. He was a Coast Guard veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve DeVore officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include his mother, Pearl Jackson Yates of Booneville; a sister, Betty Jo Phillips of Booneville; a brother, DeVon Yates and wife, Lavern, of Livingston, La.; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jule C. Yates, and a brother, Howard Lee Yates.

BOONEVILLE - Jule Clayton Yates, 94, died Monday, July 5, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a farmer and a member of Jumpertown United Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert McCoy and Bro. Steve Devore officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife of 77 1/2 years, Pearl Jackson Yates; a daughter, Betty Jo Phillips of Booneville; two sons, Harold Yates of Booneville, and DeVon Yates and wife, Lavern, of Livingston, Ala.; two sisters, Rubylene Goodnight and husband, Damon, of Salinas, Calif., Alice Eaton of Booneville; five brothers, Bill Yates of Salinas, Calif., Franklin Yates and wife, Jenny, of Rienzi, Willard Yates of Booneville, Anthony Yates and wife, Clydean, of Booneville, and David Yates and wife, Gertie, of Booneville; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and May Eaton Yates; a son, Howard Lee Yates; three sisters; three brothers; and one grandson.

HOWARD LEE YATES

Howard Lee Yates Sr., 57, formerly of Booneville, died Sunday, July 7, 1985, at his home.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding, Calif., with Floyd Tilley officiating. Full military burial was held at the Redding Cemetery.

Mr. Yates was born Nov. 5, 1927, in Rector, Ark, He moved to Shasta County in 1973 from Booneville. He served 20 years with the U. S. Air Force, retiring as a staff sergeant. He was a member of Redding Moose Lodge 1006, and the Redding chapter of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Mittie; two sons, Howard Jr. Yates and Clayton Yates, both of Redding; a daughter, Taunya Price of Redding; two stepdaughters, daughters, Jaunita Pendergraft of Redding and Labrada Shamburger of Antioch; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jule C. Yates of Booneville; two brothers, Harold Yates of Booneville and De Von Yates of Livingston, La.; a sister, Betty Phillips of Booneville; grandchildren and step grandchildren.

DONNIE YEARBER

BOONEVILLE - Donnie Earl Yearber, 59, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis. He was born July 2, 1946, in Prentiss County to Ollie Earl Yearber and Lucy Mae Johnson Yearber. He was a retail jewelry store manager, an art collector, and a breeder and seller of parrots. He was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Stacy officiating. Burial will be in Siloam United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Steven Yearber and wife, Alina M., of Weston, Fla., and Sterling Yearber and wife, Angie K., of Booneville; a daughter, Vicki Y. Davis of Booneville; a brother, Barry Yearber and wife, Bettye, of Booneville; two sisters, Patsy Y. Cole and husband, Randel, of Booneville, and Brenda Y. Goo and husband, Jim, of Danbury, Conn.; three grandchildren, Justin Yearber, Matthew Yearber and Olivia Yearber; six nieces, three nephews.

THELMA ROSETTA YEAGER

Thelma Rosetta Woody Yeager, 96, of Corinth, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at Magnolia Regional Health Center.

Services were Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Burial was in Henry Cemetery.

Mrs. Yeager was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved her family, was a great cook and enjoyed visiting the elderly. She was a licensed Realtor and notary public.

She is survived by two sons, James Paul Yeager Jr. and his wife, Ann, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ret. Col. William Morris Yeager and his wife, Mary Margaret, of Jackson, Miss.; a daughter, Peggy Yeager Whitehurst and her husband, Bill, of Corinth; six grandchildren, Debbie Stambaugh, Paul Franklin Yeager, Sue Allen Tate, Amy Smith, Bobby Whitehurst and Betty Ann Coggin; 12 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Parker Woody; her mother, Allie Cupples Woody; and a brother, Wayne Woody.

Pallbearers were Rick Coggin, Bill Long; great-grandsons, Granville Tate III, Will Smith, Allen Tate and Will Coggin.

VIRGINIA O. YEATES

FULTON - Virginia Osborne Yeates, 83, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at the Daniel Nursing Home in Fulton, where she had resided the last six years. She was born Feb. 15, 1921, in Louisville to Waymon and Sarah Shields Osborne. She married Leon D. Yeates on May 20, 1939; he preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1974. She was a retired clerk for Thomas Dress Shop in Starkville, where she lived much of her adult life. She was a member of the Adaton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, riding bicycles, and arts and crafts.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Adaton United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Robinson officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home of Verona is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Dot Yeates Lamb of Saltillo, and Sharon Yeates Jackson and husband, Bob, of Eatonton, Ga.; a son, Chuck Yeates and wife, Deborah, of Corinth; seven grandchildren, Leigh Ann Landers of Denver, Colo., Rob Jackson of Atlanta, Ga., Kimberly Clarke of Roswell, Ga., Virginia Butts of Bogart, Ga., Jennifer Yeates and Holland Yeates of Corinth, and Elliott Wicks of Ridgeland; eight great-grandchildren, Kyle Hassett, Campbell Clarke, Charles, Margaret and Mary Butts, and Emily, Sara and Jessica Wicks; two sisters, Marie Vincent of Germantown, Tenn., and Betty Crosby of Seymore, Tenn.; a brother, Ben Sheppard of Sardis.

BEATRICE YEARTER

MARIETTA - Beatrice Hughes Yearber, 87, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at Daniel Health Care in Fdton after a long illness. She was a retired employee of the Marietta lunchroom and a member of the Marietta Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, fishing and attending Marietta Senior Citizens meetings. She married James Carlton Yearber on July 4, 1936.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Hughes and the Rev. Kevin Yearber officiating. Burial will be in Sumners Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Florence Ann Blaylock and her husband, Charles, of Fulton; a brother, Jack Dempsey Hughes of Marietta; a granddaughter, Mitzie Blaylock of Fulton.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Maurine Hughes Stevens; two brothers, Gene Tunney Hughes and Max Schmeling Hughes; and her parents, Thomas and Elma Pounds Hughes.

OILLE E. YEARBER

Oille E. Yearber, 79, died Wednesday, September 24, 1997 at Booneville Baptist Hospital after a long Illness. He was a retired employee of the Northeast Mississippi Community College, a Mason and a member of Siloam United Methodist Church.

Services were Saturday at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Holcomb and the Rev. Randy Stacy officiating. Burial was-in Siloam Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife. LaRue Yearber; three daughters, Margarette Horn & her husband James, Pasty Cole & her husband Randel all of Booneville, Brinda Good and & her husband Jim of Danbury, Conn.; one step-daughter Jo Ann Roberts & her husband Mack of Baldwyn; two sons, Donnie Yearber of San Francisco, Calif., and Barry Yearber & his wife Bettye of Booneville; one step-son, Jimmy Wilemon & his, wife Johnnie, of Fulton; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mac Johnson Yearber and a grandchild.

Pallbearers were his grandsons and great-grandsons.

REV. IVAN ALDRIDGE YANCY

AMORY -Rev. Ivan Aldridge Yancy died at 8:55 p.m. Thursday at the North Mississippi Medical Center.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Becker Baptist Church with burial in the Sand Springs Cemetery. The Rev. R. G. Wilemon will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Joseph Oliver and Rev. Doug Jones. Pickle Funeral Home is in charge.

He was born in Morgan County, Ala. and married Faye Graham in 1947, who survives. He was a veteran of World War II and had served churches in Tennessee and Mississippi. He was presently serving as pastor at Becker Baptist Church, where he had been for about five years.

Other survivors than his wife are one son, Charles T. Yancy, a junior at Mississippi College; one daughter, Deborah Lynn Yancy of the home; two brothers, James H. Yancy of Athens, Ala.; Paul L. Yancy of Birmingham, Ala.; four sisters, Mrs. Wyman Garrison of Columbus; Mrs. M. P. Douglas of Athens, Ala. and Mrs. Calvin L. Brock, also of Athens, Ala.

Pallbearers will be deacons of the church. Honorary pallbearers will be other ministers.

The body will lie in state at the church at Becker for one hour prior to services.

Services at the Sand Springs Cemetery in Pontotoc County will be about 3 p.m.

MILLARD YATES

BOONEVILLE ‑Millard Wayne Yates, 60, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 2, 1939, to Charlie Cullen Yates and Johnnie Lucille Michael Yates. He lived in Jumpertown. He was a truck driver and the pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church. An accomplished singer and musician, he played the guitar, banjo, piano and bass guitar, and had recorded two albums. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Ross. Bro. Johnny Sherrill and Bro. Jack Irons officiating Burial will be in the Jumpertown cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years. Patricia Ann "Pat" Tedford Yates, whom he married Oct 28, 1961: three sons, Frankie Wayne Yates and his wife, Jacqui, of Ramer, Tenn., Culler Herbert Yates and his wife, Jamie, of Booneville, and Steven Allen Yates and his wife, Misty, of Jonestown; two brothers, Gene Yates of Booneville, and Keith Yates and his wife, Jettie of Jumpertown, three sisters, Beth English of Jumpertown, Sandra Green and her husband, Buster, of Wheeler, and Francille Davis and her husband, Ricky, of Jumpertown; six grandchildren, Wesley, Landon, Kelsie, Drew, Kirstie and Baby Yates.

Pallbearers will be David Jackson, Kenneth Michael, William Copeland, Bro. Pete McCoy, Bro. Joe Floyd Carpenter, Bro. Bill Reed, Hubert Tennison, Frank Rhinehart, Jimmy Moore and Travis Eaton.

Visitation will continue until service time today at the funeral home.

BETTY SUE YOUNG

BELMONT - Betty Sue Young, 68, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at the Tishomingo Living Center. She was a homemaker and a member of the Memphis Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wayne Young.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Tishomingo City Cemetery with Bro. Billy West officiating. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include four sisters, Ruth Gann of New Site, Mary Hollie of Memphis, Dean Wigginton of Golden and Judy Ford of Wheeler; several nieces and nephews.

DENNIS - Cullen F. "Jack" Young, 77, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at his home. He was born Dec. 2, 1926, to the late Will and Velma Young. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Dennis United Methodist Church and a retired rural letter carrier. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with the Rev. Gary Glazier and the Rev. Rick Wells officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery.

GLEN - D. Young, 84, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at the Gibson County General Hospital in Trenton, Tenn. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed watching ball games and fishing.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Corinth. The Rev. Nelson Hight and the Rev. Warren Jones will officiate. His grandson, the Rev. Tony Littlejohn, will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

BOONEVILLE - Gladys Tays Young, 90, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Hankins and Bro. Phillip Box officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie Garner and husband, Dalton, of Booneville; three sons, John B. Young Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Batesville, Billy Joe Young and wife, Ruth, of Corinth, and David Young and wife, Connie, of Booneville; 13 grandchildren, Mitzi Hardy, Patti Flint, Andy Young, Melanie Spencer, Dalton Guy Garner, John Garner, Alyce McLaurin, Mary Doty, JoAnna Butler, Joseph Young, Alex Young, Michelle Young and Brandi Young; 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; a special friend, Hattie Young.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bell Young; her parents, Andrew A. and Fannie Crockett Moores Tays; seven sisters, Virgia Heyer, Sybil, Edith and Mildred Tays, Leland Peeler, Lila Young and Doris Robertson; and four brothers, Wesley, Rodney, Clyde and Herbert Tays.

Her grandsons will be pallbearers.

WALNUT - Glen E. Young, 68, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, at his home after a long illness. He was retired from the U. S. Navy. He served in both Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the Liberty Hill Non-Denominational Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Luther Crum and Bro. Tim Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Little Brown Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Young; two daughters, Therisea Austen of Walnut and Rebecca Davidson of Fulton; six sons, Charles Aldridge of Shannon, Mike Young of Aulander, N. C., Willie Ashmore of Moses Lake, Wash., Richard Young of Dennis, Glen B. Young of Nettleton, and John Fikes of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Barbara Benson of Bedford, Iowa, and Helen Burres of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Jack Young of Hopkins, Mo.; 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Fletcher, and a son, Curtiss Aldridge.

GUY E. YOUNG

CORINTH - Guy E. Young, 71, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was retired from Colonial Baking Company after 34 years. He was currently self-employed. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Corinth with Bro. Pete Wooley and Bro. G.W. Childs officiating. Burial will be in Fraley's Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Rickman Young of Corinth; two brothers, Bill Young and wife, Martha, of Corinth and Jimmy Dan Young of Collinwood, Tenn.; four sisters, Mary Ann Fett and Bill of Phoenix, Ariz., and Loretta Morgan and Randal, Pat Hammett and Jerry, and Sara Glidewell and Daniel, all of Corinth; two brothers-in-law, Nelson Rickman and wife, Ann, and Barry Rickman and wife, Regina, all of Corinth; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grate and Frances Dees Young, and two brothers, W.E. Young and Euclid Young.

HATTIE R. YOUNG

BOONEVILLE - Hattie R. Young, 84, died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Robert Swinney and Martha Crump Spencer. She was a member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church, where she was president of the Usher Board and Missionary Society. She was president of the Booneville Baptist Ladies Convention and secretary of the Booneville Baptist Auxiliaries. She was retired from Aletha Lodge Nursing Home in Booneville.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olive M.B. Church in Baldwyn with the Rev. Wayne Myles officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Agnew and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Lucille (Archer) Burress of Booneville; a stepson, Robert McNairy of New York; six grandchildren, Shelia Young, Renell (Charles) Gardner and Louise Shinault, all of Booneville, Libby (Anthony) Patterson of Corinth, Delander (Stevie) Sullivan of Manchester, Tenn., and Mary (Larry) Middlebrook of Verona; three sisters, Caroline Copeland, Annie Phine Wicks and Betty Nunn, all of Booneville; a brother, James Spencer of Booneville.

JAC T. YOUNG

CORINTH - Jac T. Young, 73, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at Country Cottage. He was a retired professor of the arts at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia. He taught for 28 years, and started and developed the college's fine arts department. He received a master of fine arts degree from Tulane University in 1964 and a bachelor of fine arts degree from Memphis College of Art. A potter, his works have been shown in Memphis, Atlanta and Corinth in addition to NWMCC.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at McPeters Chapel with friends delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.

Survivors include two sisters, Adrienne Y. Box and husband, Reid, and Martha Y. Kimbrough and husband, Bill, all of Corinth; two nieces, Diane Box Mathis of Corinth and Kim Kimbrough of Memphis; two great-nieces, Stephanie Mathis of Corinth and Lucie Mathis of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Edd Young and Lula Eaves Young, and a brother, Raymond James Young.

Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. today.

LOIS YOUNG

TISHOMINGO - Lois Mock Young, 77, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at her residence. She was born in Tishomingo County on Feb. 6, 1927, to the late John Henry Mock and Molly Gattis Mock. She was a member, secretary/treasurer and Sunday School teacher at Palestine Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Robert Basil Young; and a granddaughter, Judith Nicole Young.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Palestine Community Church in Tishomingo with Bro. DeWayne Wells and Bro. Bill Burcham officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Chaney and husband, Charles, of Graham, Ky.; four sons, Perry Young and wife, Patricia, Larry Young, Roger Young and wife, Jo Ann, and Danny Young and wife, Lanelle, all of Tishomingo; one sister, Christine Oaks of Iuka; 12 grandchildren, Dr. Brian Chaney of Greenville, Ky., Lisa Fugitt, Shannon Young, Sherry Holt, Scotty Young, Deedra Young, Chris Young, Amanda Coley, Brandon Young, Denise Wilson and Derrick Young, all of Tishomingo, and Kimberly Butler of Iuka; seven great-grandchildren.
