Who We Are

The Neshoba Ancestral Group was organized to:
  • Help beginners learn to easily trace their ancestry.

  • Help intermediate researchers get their data on computer.

  • Help the more advanced genealogists get their data published.
It is the desire of the group to get as many family histories with Neshoba County connections published as possible.  We plan to leave copies shelved in the Genealogy section of the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Library for free access to other researchers.  If you have family data which you'd like to share, please leave an    e-mail message. We will gladly accept family data sent as an attached file in Gedcom or Family Tree Maker formats.

We Have A Name !

Thanks to all for your suggestions for a new name for our group.  We needed something with historical significance, a name that is "catchy" and succinct, nothing long and flowery.  Your e-mail suggestions were appreciated, as was your input at the meeting.

As of today, 28 February 1997, our gen-soc has been named:

    Neshoba

    Ancestral

    Group

The name, submitted by member Carol Moore, was chosen by an overwhelming margin by those members present at the Friday night meeting.

    N A G seems a very appropriate name for a gen-soc, wouldn't you fellow genealogists agree?
