Neshoba    Ancestral Group
The Neshoba Ancestral Group was organized:
  • January 23, 1997.


  • Nineteen adults attended (despite severe thunderstorms).


  • Everyone was assigned the task of coming up with a new name.
The organizational meeting began at 7:00 pm, chaired by Doug McLain, who shared goals, plans, aspirations and hopes for the group's future.  The general concensus of those attending was that this organization effort was long overdue.  Many ideas and future program topics were discussed.  It was agreed that this group would undertake to help beginning genealogists not make the mistakes we've made!  The meeting closed at 8:30 pm.
