GARRETT Rites For Mrs. Avie Garrett Lifelong Resident Auburn Community Services for Mrs. Avie Garrett, lifelong resident of the Auburn community, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Priceville Baptist Church minister Dabney Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Priceville Cemetery with Spain Funeral Home in charge. She was 71. Mrs. Garrett died at her home at 10:30 p.m. Monday after being in failing health since suffering a stroke three years ago. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Webb of Auburn, and was a member of Gloster Street Church of Christ. She leaves two sons,
W.L. Garrett of Auburn and J.P. Garrett of Tupelo; a daughter, Mrs. Madie
Hall of Auburn; a sister, Mrs. W.H. Bell of Auburn; seven grandchildren
and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her nephews. |
