Thomas Moody EVANS
d. Oct. 13, 1976

Plantersville - Thomas 'Moody' Evans, 72, died Wednseday at 2:30 a.m. at the Belle Vista Unit of North Mississippi Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Plantersville, he was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the Union Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Union Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Corley and the Rev. G.H. Hill officiating.  Burial will be in the Union Cemetery with McGrath Raspberry Funeral Home, Inc., in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Wallace Evans, Plantersville; one son, Billy Evans, Plantersville; one brother, J.C. Evans, Plantersville; one sister, Mrs. Winnie Griffin, Plantersville; his father Willis Tom Evans, Plantersville; three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Fred Pettigrew, Lamar Pettigrew, William Park, Paul Edwards, Jimmy Evans, and Roger Evans. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
