Betty A. Dodson Evans Obituary

Mrs. Betty Evans, 85, died at 2:37 a.m. Sunday at North Mississippi Medical Center after an illness of one month. She lived in the Union Community south of Plantersville.

Mrs. Evans was a member of the Union Methodist Church and a lifelong resident of this area.  She was the widow of G.C. Evans and was known by her friends and family as "Aunt Betty."

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Union United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in Union Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Roberts officiating. Pallbearers will be her nephews.  W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors are in charge.

Survivors are one son, James Evans, of the Union Community; two sisters, Mrs. J.C. Bailey of Amory and Mrs. J.H. Cox of Tupelo; one brother, Joe Dodson of Pontotoc; six grandchildren.
