Martha Ann Knight was the daughter of Rachel (a slave of John "Jackie" Knight) and Newton Knight (son of Albert Knight). She was born in 15 Aug 1866 and died July 5, 1922. Martha Ann married Samuel �Sam� Knight. He was born Sept 9, 1867. Sam Knight was the mulatto son of Harriet Carter (a slave of John "Jackie" Knight) and Daniel Thomas Knight, son of James �Dry� Knight and Harriet Youngblood. Harriet's parents were Andy Carter and Phyllis Knight (both slaves of John �Jackie� Knight).
Children:
- Sidney Knight born January 7, 1891 in Soso, Mississippi. Died November 1977. Married Allie Knight, daughter of John Madison �Hinchie� Knight (son of Rachel and Newton Knight).
- Senia Knight born April 1891 and died 30 Sep 1948 in Washington, D. C. Married Robert Johnson son of George and Emma Johnson.
- Viola Ode Knight born 1896. Married Luther Knight son of Andy and Rose Ann Knight.
- Amos Knight. Not listed in the 1900 Census. In the 1910 he is listed as age 16 (makes birth year 1894). His WWI draft registration lists his birth date as January 14, 1894 in Soso, Mississippi. Listed in the "White" Marriage records is a marriage between Amos Knight & Hilda Knight (14 Feb 1920, page 580). He died 02 Jul 1970 in Jones County, Mississippi.
