| This old town is located on the Tombigbee river, below the village of Van Buren. Founded after the sale of the Indian lands, it's life was very short. All existing business was absorbed into the latter town. It's sole Hotel was owned by Jefferson Foster. Other merchants were: J.P. Snow, and Jowers & Holcomb. |
