Deed from Jane Middleton to E. F. Nobles
This Indenture made and executed this twenty second day of August Eighteen hundred and forty four between Jane Middleton of the County of Franklin and State of Mississippi of the first part and E. F. Nobles of the County and State aforesaid of the second Witnesseth that the said party of the first for and in consideration of the sum Eighty dollars to her in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these present the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said party of the second part have bargained sold aimed conveyed and confirmed and by these present do grant bargain sell alien confirm and convey to the said party of the second part and his heirs for ever the undivided half of the following described tract or parcel of land to wit Lot No.5 township No 7 N Range No 6. E laying in the County of Franklin and State of Mississippi to have and to hold the above undivided half of land premises together the improvements and herditaments thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part herself her hefts Executors Administrators the title to the undivided half of the above designated land and appurtenances to the said party of the second part and his assigns forever and warrant and forever defend against claim or claims of every person or persons lawfully making claim thereto.
Witness whereof the said party of the first part hath hereunto set his hand and affixed her seal the day and date first above written.

Before me James Cupit a Justice of the Peace for said County personally appeared Jane Middleton whose name is subscribed to the foregoing deed and acknowledges she signed sealed and delivered the same on the day therein written as her act and deed for the purposes therein expressed.
