Will of George Holloway
I George Holloway of the state of Mississipppi and of the County of Franklin do make and publish this my last will and testament and to such worldly estate as it doth please God is trust me with I despose as follows
1st I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Jane the following property viz. The negro girl Charity and my carriage and two good horses to be worth one hundred dollars each and to have a childs part of the following property viz Ike and Caroline and her increase also Dorcas and her increase and the boy Stephen to be equally divided between my several children, Burlin V. and George W. and James M. and Porter M. Lafayette Holloways free from (accoctin?) claim
2nd I give and bequeath to my sone William Lee holloway and my daughter Jane Holloway the following slaves vz the boy Tom and Mariah and her increase and the girl Alcy and two hundred dollars in cash free from all other claims.
3rd And as to the ballance of all my estate both to real and personal to be equally divided between all of my before mentioned children and my wife is to have a childs part during her widowhood, but the girl Charity and Carriage is to be hers during her life then descends to the several named children Burlin V. and George W. and James M. and Porter M. Lafayette Holloway, I also give and bequeath this (the name is added between lines in the same writing-EC) the girl Huldda) to my wife then my wife it to draw from my estate the sum of four hundred dollars to have forever but at my wifes death all of the property to go to the last mentioned chldren I hereby appoint by brother John Holloway and Hiram Cassidy my witns of my last will and testament this the 24th of January one thousand eight hundred and forty five. Personally appeared in open Court James L Holloway and King D Porter two of the subscribing witnesses to the forgoing instrument of writing this day produced as the last will and testament of George Holloway deceased who being duly sworn depose and say that they inscribed the same as attesting witnessed in the presence of and at the request of the said George Holloway and in the presence of A W Armstrong the subscribing witness who also subscribed the same at the request of the said George Holloway that the said will is written and subscribed in the hand writing of the said George Holloway was in his proper mind and memory ............ James L Holloway
Sworn to and subscribed before ....... King D Porter
one this 16th day of February (?ND) 1846
State of Mississippi -- I John P Stewart Clerk of the Franklin county Probate Court in and for said county Certify that this and the three preceding contain a true and perfect exemplification of the proceedings of said Court containing the last will and testament of George Holloway deceased admitted to probate in said court with a true copy of said original will
In testimony wherof I have hereinto set my hand and offered the seal of said court this Eightenth day of February ano domini one thousand eight hundred and forty six., Jno P Stewart clerk

Whereas George Hollaway late of Said Bounty deceased man in his life time his last will and testament which at a term given said Court begun and held at the Court house of said county on the then Monday of February in the year one thousand eight hunddred and forth six was proved approved died admitted to been in said court and letters testament in therein graduted to Hiram (Cassidy one of the executors therof and therein appointed by said court at the April term thereof in the year last aforesaid and the said Hiram Cassidy having at the November term of said Court in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty six.
