John & Joseph Ray Cygon

Memorial Collection

John Cygon was a  Polish German immigrant,

naturalized in Franklin County.
His son, Joseph Ray Cygon, left Meadville to attend

the U.S. Naval Academy graduating with the Class of 1911. 

 He later served in the U. S. Army Coast
Artillery, retiring as Major, USA in 1932.
