Chickasaw County, MS

While there are a number of Reference Works on Chickasaw County, more volunteers are needed to do look-ups.  If you own or have access to any works on Chickasaw County and are willing to look up information for others, please email me.  Come join our eager and dedicated volunteers.  You just might find you have family lines in common.  If you have  information that might be useful to others and would like to have it posted to these pages, please contact me.
In placing look-up requests, please abide by these guidelines.  Limit your request to one name per request.  Please put CHICKASAW COUNTY LOOK-UP in the subject line of your request to flag the message for the volunteer.  On the first line of your message, place the name of the book from which you are requesting a look-up.  Finally, please bear in mind the following legalese.

    COPYRIGHT:  The USGenWeb Official Policy
USGenWeb will not tolerate any copyright violations.  Lookup requests should be limited to one name, or perhaps two, if it is a married couple.  Information given will be minimal; for example, if it is a cemetery look-up, the information will be the name of the cemetery and the dates on the headstone.  Please do not ask for "everybody with X surname" or an entire family group, or for hard copies of information to be mailed.  Our look-ups will extend to searching the book to determine if the book would be helpful to you in your research.  Should the book prove useful, we can provide the author's address and ordering information.  the USGenWeb Project will endeavor to get a written statement from each copyright holder which stipulates which books may be used for look-ups.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING LOOKUP REQUESTS
1.  The subject line should always say CHCICKASW COUNTY LOOKUP
2.  Limit requests to 3 lookups per messge, and no more than one request per week.
Remember, lookups are done by VOLUNTEERS who have families, jobs and
other obligations and you are not the only person requesting a lookup.
3.  Have patience, give the volunteer 5-7 days to comply with your request. There is
NO way to know how many requests they had before receiving yours.
4.  Your cooperation will be appreciated and will make it much easier for volunteers
to fulfill lookup requests. Thanks. Jackie Rhodes
