Martha McGrath to be honored by Society The next regular monthly meet-ing of the Webster County His-torical Society will be held Tuesday, June 22, at 7:00 P.M. in the Webster County History Museum. This will be a special meeting similar to the one held in March, where we honored Mr. C. E. Boulson. The So-ciety would like to continue to honor those who have contributed their out-standing work to preserve the history of Webster county.
The recipient of the honor for June's meeting will be Martha Mc-Grath, of Marshfield. Mrs. McGrath has written several articles and edited many others for the Webster County Historical Society Journals, and has had several articles featured in the Springfield and Marshfield newspa-pers. Her contributions toward recording and preserving the history of our county will be remembered for many years. Make plans to attend this special meeting as we show our appreciation to Mrs. McGrath.

MEETING DATES FOR THE NEXT QUARTER ARE:
June 22
July 27
August 24

JUST A REMINDER:

The Webster County Historical Society has formed a Century Club for those who would like to make a tax-deductible donation of $100 or more. Donors' flames will be displayed on a plaque in the entryway of the museum. Donations may also be made In the name of a family member to commemorate their place in the history of Webster County. Annual membership dues are $5; you can become a lifetime member for $50.
The Book Report Great news! The long-awaited Webster County History book should be complete by the time of the June meeting. Volunteers for unpacking and sorting would be welcome. Please call Paulene Dyche at 859-7700 if you are available.
Is anyone interested in obtaining copies of any out-of-print History Journals? If there is sufficient interest, this may be a possibility. Paulene Dyche (859-7700) will also take these requests.

The Future of History The Society continues to receive requests for information by mail, phone, and through our website, with a total of 77 since September. In addition to genealogy, these inquiries have led to the sale of nearly 40 journals and several History Books. We have had 443 visitors to our website since January and 66 visitors to the newsletter since April. The Historical Society was recently added to The Marshfield MAIL Web page as an informational piece under their non-profit organization Community Web Site. At this site, visitors can obtain information about our meetings and our web address.
The Society was host to about 100 members of the Hubbell Family Historical Society on Saturday, June 12, during their visit to the Marshfield area. The group dedicated a plaque at the Hubble Telescope replica on the courthouse lawn, then were our guests for refresh-ments and a tour of the Webster County Historical Museum.
