Kurt Schake's Will, 1890

The last will and testament of Johann Cord 'Kurt' Schake, January 25, 1890 recorded a few days prior to his death. Notice the 'X' as his mark in the lower right hand corner and the spelling of Schake as Sacke on the first line. The complete will from the Missouri State Archives, Jefferson City reads as follows (with errors) :


Last will and testament of John Sacke (SEAL)

State of Missouri, County of Warren January 25, 1890. I John Schake in the County of Warren do make this my last will. I give and devise unto Friedreka Schake my wife all my land during her natural life. After her death the farm(?) to pass to my two sons Namely Fred Schake and Adolph Schake that is the old homestead on which I reside at present time. Also I give and devise to my daughters Namely as follows, Frederka wife of Noldenssmeyer and Marry wife of Chs Ridder and Molly who is deceased family of John Schowengerdt or her heirs. I give and bequeath to my two daughters the sum of three hundred dollars apeace that is them that is living at present time or their heirs. Said payment to be paid to them three years after the death of myself and wife. The aforesaid Fred Schake and Adolph Schake being bound to pay of its heirs written mentioned. I hereby appoint my sole Executor of this my last will and testament Fred Schake and Adolph Schake hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have unto set my hand this 25 day of January A. D. 1890.
