Stone County Photo Album
The Kimberling Ferry was left grounded in the receding flood waters in the spring of the early 1920's.  A group of neighbors were photographed trying to get the ferry back into the White River.

Pictured from left in front are: Man at the left corner of the ferry J. M. "Gran'Pop" Hammers; Frank Hammers; an unidentified man; Mose Hammers; an unidentified man; Kenneth Kimberling; an unidentified man; Edd Hammers of Reeds Spring with his foot off the ground.  The woman at the other end of the ferry is Mrs. Clayton Culberston, her daughter and their dog.  The other two men in the back are unidentified. The photo is courtesy of Janet Thompson a Kimberling descendant. More information on the Kimberling family of Stone County, Missouri can be found in the 1973 issue of the White River Valley Historical Quarterly
