Joe Dean "Butch" Taylor-Mitchell, 53 , passed away in Fayetteville Veterans Hospital on Sunday July 25, 1999 of bilateral pneumonia. He was a Viet Nam Veteran with an Honorable Discharge from the Army on December 5, 1969.
"Butch" was born July 20, 1946 in Cape Fair, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Costlow Taylor Mitchell, his adoptive father Ernie Mitchell, and older sister Burley Jean Taylor.
Survivors include three daughters: Jennifer, Mindy, and Jodie; two sons: Johnnie and Jamie Mitchell, all of California; three sisters: Ava May Bettis of Winona, Mo.; Willa Hayworth of Rogers, Ar.; and Carmon Biddle of Claremore, Ok.; one brother: James Taylor of Reeds Spring, Mo.; several grandchildren and a host of loving friends and relatives.
