Hattie Christine Skaggs, 82, Clever, Missouri, passed away at 607 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2000 after an extended illness.
She was born December 23, 1917 in Nixa, Missouri to Claude and Myrtle Coker. She married Marion C. Skaggs on December 19, 1931. She was baptised and joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in the summer of 1944.
Hattie enjoyed working in her flower garden, crocheting, sewing and piecing together quilts for all of her family. She enjoyed a quality life, and was loved by her family and anyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Claude and Myrtle Coker; her spouse Marion Skaggs; a son Kenneth Skaggs; and four sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, and three sons, Ruth
Cox and her husband Byron of Clever, Missouri;
Sharon Sikes and her significant other Justin Orth, Overland
Park, Kansas; Bob Skaggs, and his wife Barbara of Clever, Missouri; Joe
Skaggs; and Danny Skaggs and his wife Rosalene; and a daughter-in-law Sonja
Skaggs, all of Springfield, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren;
and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2000 in Meadors Funeral Home Chapel, Clever, Missouri with burial in Frazier Cemetery.
