AUDIE "OPAL" (HANNIFF) HONSINGER

Opal Honsinger, Lomita, California, passed away February
5, 1999. She was born Feburary 16, 1926 in Colorado, Texas.
Her family moved to Galena where she met the love of her life, Perry and
whom she married on Christmas Eve, 1945 in Springfield. In July 1946,
they settled in Lomita, California where they raised their children.
Opal worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District from 1958 until
retiring in 1979. Though physically limited by disabling arthritis,
Opal enjoyed reading, writing poetry, and collecting crystal and china.
Her family will greatly miss her. She was preceded in death by her
loving and devoted husband of 49 years, Perry Wayne Honsinger.
Opal is survived by:
Her daughter; Susan Elaine Dalton and son-in-law, John Dalton
of Harbor City, CA
Two sons, Anthony Wayne Honsinger of Lomita, CA
Michael Sheridan Honsinger and his wife, Sunny of Lomita, CA
Three grandchildren, Jeremy, Crystal and Elizabeth Honsinger.
Three sisters, Gwen NcCulley, of Newcastle, CA
Georgia Kozak, of Gonzales, LA
Nancy Shaffner, of Houston, TX
One brother, Daniel Hanniff, of Wilmington, CA
Several nieces and nephews.
Services were held February 9, at Green Hills
Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
