Shortly after W.W. I the family returned to the U.S. They settled in North Platte, Nebraska before moving to California and then back to Galena, Missouri, the place of Anna May's birth. When W.W.II broke out the family returned to California. This is where Anna May would spend the closing years of her life.
Anna May was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hanniff and her two eldest sons, Charles Wesley Hanniff and George Fredrick Hanniff. One brother, Clyde Scott and one sister, Spicey (Scott) Wilbur also preceded her in death.
Left to mourn Anna May are her son, Daniel Hanniff and four daughters, Mrs. Gwen Coones-McCulley, Mrs. Opal Honsinger, Mrs Georgia Kozak, and Mrs. Nancy Shaffner.
Anna May (Scott) Hanniff - mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was laid to rest at the Green Hills Cemetery, in San Pedro, California on the Fourth of July and the fireworks that evening were in honor her life. (Wilmington Press Journal)
