Alyson Crippen found these photos among the belongings of her great-grandmother
Dora Akin Jones, daughter of Elizabeth Francis Turner and Richard Leslie
Akin. Alyson believes that Lasindy (below) is the cousin of her ggg-grandfather
William Jasper Turner who was born circa 1845 in Illinois. He lived
in Lawrence County from 1845 to about 1920. The photos below were
taken before 1900. There is a possibility that the Beeles who are pictured
may be connected to the Stone County Beals or the Beal families in the
surrounding area.
