PFC - E2 JAMES HAROLD CURNEAL, 1 Co 3 BN Mar Rgt 1 Mar Div, U.S. Marines was killed in action in Korea Oct 27, 1852. Hometown Essex, MO. When a grenade landed in the foxhole with him and several of his company, Harold threw himself on the grenade and saved all the other men. He was born July 13, 1930. He is listed in "Korean War Project Key No: 6656". His service number:1222612 MOS
