of Sikeston and State of Mo. desiring to procure a license to marry
Orine Adkison of Sikeston and the state of Mo.
do solemnly swear that I am the age of 25 years, and that the said Orine Adkinson
is of the age of__ years and that we are both single and unmarried,
and may lawfully contract and be joined in marriage, and that we are not first cousins.
Act of General Assembly, Certain Marriage Prohibited. All marriages between parents and children, including grandparents and grandchildren of every degree, between brothers and sisters
of the half as well as of the whole blood, and between uncles and nieces, aunts and nephews, first cousins, white persons and negroes, are prohibited and declared absolutely void and this prohi-
bition shall apply to illegitimate as well as legitimate children and relatives. (R. S. 1889 Section

This license authorizes any Judge of a Court of Record
or Justice of the Peace or any licensed or ordained preacher of
the Gospel, who is a Citizen of the United States, or who is a
resident of and a pastor of any church in this state to
solemnize Marriage between Charles E. Guest
of Sikeston in the County of Scott and
State of Missouri, who is over the age of twenty one
years and Orine Adkinson of Sikeston
in the County of Scott and State of
Missouri, who is under the age of twenty one years
