"Kids Helping Kids"
State Project 2018-2019
Last fall I met Jordan at my cheerleader trial week. I sat down beside her and then noticed she was missing her left arm just above the elbow. I later discovered that she has appeared on TEDx Youth and TEDx CoMo [Video Forums] speaking about what is normal and what it is to have a limb difference. Jordan has invented a "glitter shooter" prosthetic arm and is the creator of "Born Just Right" and "Project Unicorn” (celebrate your differences).
Jordon is my inspiration to raise money to help children receive the prosthetics. I can only imagine the difficulties in everyday life of children with limb difference.
- Prosthetic devices can be a foot or hand or a full arm or leg.
- Prostheses will require adjustment and will need to be replaced as the child grows.
- Prosthetics are expense ranging from $5,000 to $50,000.
All donations will go the POPS (Pediatric Orthotic Prosthetic Services) at Shriners Hospital for Children in St Louis, Missouri. I chose this organization because 100% of the donations goes to fund the prosthetic devices for children.
I am very thankful for the opportunity to serve the Children of the American Revolution as State President. I look forward to sharing this program "Kids Helping Kids" with you and know that together we will make a difference in a child's life!
