This small burial plot is on Highway P, 1/2 mile N of Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, near Weston, Missouri. The land was preempted by Jacob Cox in 1837 and is presently owned by his grand-daughter, Catherine Cox McAdow and her husband, Sam McAdow. An earlier survey was made by James Layton Hull, Miss Mary Jane Hull and Sam McAdow.

Jacob, b: in Tennessee 2/29/1796, d: 2/13/1869. Married four times: 1st a Gatliffe; 2nd Duncan; 3rd Susan Pettigrew; 4th Melissa Wilson, who is buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Father of 11 children.
