Robert Lemon Grave Marking



On 6 OCT 2012, the Chapter conducted a Grave Marking of Patriot Robert Lemon. SGT Lemon was born in 1752 in Ireland. After his service in the revolution, he located on a farm in Columbia, MO. He was a farmer and one of the founders of the University of Missouri. He died on 6 OCT 1848 and was buried on his farm.

Nearly 100 people attended the ceremony held on the 260th birthday of SGT Lemon. The land and grave site are now on residential property owned by Eugene Smith.
