While he was gone, Drake stopped in the area of Roanoke Island and he offered the military colonists supplies and a ship, but before the supplies could be |

unloaded a storm hit and they lost that ship, Drake offered another of his ships, but they asked to be returned to England. Drake complied leaving the fort empty. A few days later, Grenville arrived with supplys for the colony. Finding no one there Grenville left 15 men at the fort.
