C. T. WELTY

C. T. WELTY was born in Hocking County, Ohio, in 1852, and is a son of Christopher and S. WELTY. The father was a successful tiller of the soil, and is yet living at a ripe old age. C. T. Welty resided in his native State until 1881, at which time he came to Missouri and settled in Lawrence County, where he has since engaged in carpentering. He has met with good success at this trade, and besides his carpenter shop and residence owns some other valuable town property. He was married in 1878 to Miss Louisa REMSEN, of Morgan County, Ohio, and by her is the father of two children, Alvaro and Charlie E. He and wife are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
