ancestors.
Richard Minor was born and raised in Newark, MO.
Richard's father, Beverly
Lewis Minor was a farmer coming to Knox from KY in the 1850's.
The home B. L. built still stands in the Newark area, a wood frame home, a copy
of the brick home he had in KY.
B. L. is burred in
Newark
Cemetery, Knox CO.
William Thomas Minor, son of Richard, later in life, moved to Kirksville and was a business
owner of an appliance store
on the square, and owned a sheet metal shop in Kirksville.
Malissa's Hademan family were long time residents of LaBelle. She is related to
the Haldeman feed store family.
Malissa died young and W. T. Minor married Lily Thompson, who is buried in the
LaBelle cemetery by her 1st husband.
W. T and Malissa's son, James E "Jay" Minor left home, for Kirksville, at the
young age of 12.
He lived and worked in a grocery store on the square in Kirksville for a time.
His brother Claude, was injured in a car accident and was paralyzed.
He owned a pool hall in KS and made his living gambling from a wheelchair.
