Oldham - Thompson Cemetery
from the Pioneer Wagon, Jackson County, Missouri - Volume X, Number 2
Called thus for lack of a better name, this cemetery lies in Section 28,
township 51, range 30, at the south edge of the woods half a mile north of
Atherton-Sibley Road, and about a third of a mile west of Galvin Road.
Supposedly once much larger, years of neglect have reduced this burial ground
to only two remaining stones, the source of the cemetery's name. The
grounds were not owned by either man; both olived to the west in Section 29.
